Hey folks, this is Sally Hendrick with Shout Your Cause and I'm going to try something different for this new season podcast where I am talking about daily breaking news. This morning, March 14th, 2025, there's a lot going on and I want to break it down. There are major developments on Capitol Hill. The Senate vote on government funding was a crucial vote to keep the federal government open. It's set for early afternoon today Senate Republicans need eight Democrats to pass the bill. So far, John Federman and Chuck Schumer have committed, leaving six more needed Senate versus House rules. Unlike the house where a simple majority is enough, the Senate requires 60 votes to pass the bill. The next story, aviation incidents. In the last 24 hours already two of them American Airlines flight catches fire. A plane caught fire on the Denver International Airport, tarmac overnight, six people were injured but are expected to recover also in North Carolina, there was a private plane crash, a small aircraft crashed near Pit Green Airport this morning.
